Are you one of those who were escorted to Valcourt from the satellite towns? In 1983, the first two days were devoted to the gatherings of snowmobilers in order to travel the next day to Valcourt, with the number of snowmobilers increasing through the trip. It must be said that the safety aspect on the track was top priority and funds were raised for the Society for Handicapped Children of Quebec. Upon Arriving in Valcourt, snowmobilers rode through the streets for the official opening of the FIM. This was followed by the start of the Grand Prix Saint-Laurent Sno Pro races, popular games and entertainment, snowmobile safaris, the Crafts and Cultural Village, souvenir kiosks, dancing and fireworks!
